Flowers Inspired By Pinterest

Lynn Replinger (Mom) CENTENNIAL, CO
I really wanted to create the flowers for my son and daughter-in-law's wedding. I was thrilled when they asked me. The bride, Sarah, was a joy to work with. She told me she wanted a white and green color scheme. Together we looked at floral designs on Pinterest. When Sarah found a design she like she always said that the finished product should be "Inspired by Pinterest." I appreciated that she was realistic that a non-professional florist might not be able to recreate the original exactly. When it came time to create the centerpieces, bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres I was so fortunate that my sister, three dear friends and even my nephew came and helped. None of them had any experience with ... flowers but they learned quickly and were fantastic helpers. The wedding was on a Sunday so we created the greenery for the wreaths on Friday afternoon. On Saturday morning we assembled the bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres. We also cut all the floral elements for the centerpieces and placed them in floral tubes so that the flowers were never without water. The 78 floral tubes were transported in carriers that we created out of the boxes that the flowers arrived in. On Sunday just before the wedding, the wreaths were set on the tables and six floral tubes were tucked into each wreath. Everyone loved the finished result. Show more

The hypericum berries added an interesting texture in the all green and white decorations. The men called them the "garbanzo bean flowers."

True White Garden Roses ( 24 Garden Roses )

Used for: Bridal Bouquet, Corsages, Other

Garden Roses are very fragile. I was amazed and grateful that Fifty Flowers sent extra garden roses! I took extra flowers to the wedding and it was a good thing because the bride's bouquet flipped off a table before the ceremony and smashed the garden roses. I was able to substitute the extra roses I had brought.

These blooms were huge and beautiful. The showed up very well on the floral piece that I created for the mantel and in the bouquets. They were actually a little large for the boutonnieres.

Israeli Ruscus Greenery ( 10 bunches )

Used for: Centerpieces , Bridal Bouquet, Bridesmaid's Bouquets

Israeli Ruscus is a beautiful glossy green. It lasts and lasts and lasts.

Used for: Centerpieces , Bridesmaid's Bouquets , Corsages

I love using spray roses for corsages they are so delicate. They also worked perfectly for the centerpiece wreaths. All the flowers in the wreaths were in floral tubes so they had water the whole time.
