Citrus Inspired Sunday Brunch Wedding

Mariana Leal (Bride) Sacramento, CA
When we got engaged, we knew we wanted to spend the day with our families and opted for a champagne brunch, big band kind of party. But my floral vision changed a lot as the event came together. I have done my flowers for all my big events--proms and Portuguese festas--so I knew I wanted to do my flowers. We ultimately opted to move away from the super elegant, all white and marble aesthetic that we first gravitated toward for something a little more fun and summery to represent us. Ranunculus are my absolute favorite and sourcing them through FiftyFlowers was the only way I could guarantee them at our wedding. The selection of garden roses is beautiful and we went back and forth on what we wanted ... for our shades of pink, orange, and yellow wedding flowers. The flowers were gorgeous and we received so many compliments about the flowers. Show more

Flowers Used for Mariana Leal's Arrangements

Wedding Greenery Mix ( 5 Bunches )

Used for: Bridal Bouquet, Bridesmaid's Bouquets , Corsages, Boutonnieres, Other

The ivy did not rehydrate well, which was disappointing, but everything else was pretty

Garden Rose Orange Sherbet ( 36 Garden Roses )

Used for: Bridal Bouquet, Bridesmaid's Bouquets , Corsages, Other

My fiance fought really hard for these flowers--and I am so glad he did. The colors were great and they were beautiful focal flowers for the corsages. They opened up to be really huge and gorgeous. They held up beautifully on the cake table.

Used for: Bridal Bouquet, Bridesmaid's Bouquets , Corsages, Boutonnieres, Other

They made a great pop of yellow and are very sturdy (it was 90 degrees out by the end of the day)

So pretty! Ranunculus are easily my favorite flower. Very delicate though--I made sure to support them with other flowers in the bouquets. My sisters called them "baby peonies" because they have that gorgeous ruffled look.

Make Your Own Flower Centerpieces Combo Box ( Make Your Own Flower Centerpieces Combo Box )

This was such a good choice. The spray roses opened up to be gorgeous and fluffy. The fillers were really gorgeous and I especially liked the Israeli ruscus. We made the boutonnieres principally from these flowers alone. The remaining spray roses, berries, and asters were used on the cake table and really made it beautiful.
