Bridal Shower Practice Run

Carla Butler (Bride) Fort Wayne, IN
I've been planning my dream florals for my wedding and decided as a novice, first-time DIY bride-florist, it'd be best to practice working with the materials and tools before the day of my wedding. I practiced making bouquets from large to small for the bridal bouquet and flower girl bouquets. I also was able to get an idea of how many stems I would need for my garlands, centerpieces, and bouquets. The 5 bunches of Italian Ruscus covered 4 eight-foot tables and were used in one small bouquet.

The Italian Ruscus was absolutely beautiful! The greenery was easy to maintain leading up to the event and looked beautiful throughout the duration of the event. The stems are long, so it's an easy greenery to cover a lot of area with a few amount of stems. Most of the bunches ranged from 5-7 stems.

Save the Garden Roses ( 24 Garden Roses )

Used for: Centerpieces , Bridesmaid's Bouquets

The garden roses were really nice. They didn't completely open up by the time of the event, so I manipulated them by pulling back the petals to open them more. I'm giving them a 4 out of 5 star review, because they didn't look as great as I had hoped by the time of the event (they looked better day 2 after hydrating overnight). The petals on the outside had started to brown a bit, but I was able to pick most off to make it look better.
